<aside> đź’ˇ This checklist helps you to ensure you have everything that is required before getting started with understanding market demand for your new consumer product, before you build it.

[ ] A domain. You need to use a domain you own or purchase a domain for your landing page. You can purchase domains from popular domain providers such as godaddy.com. It doesn’t have to be an expensive .com-domain, just ensure that it looks legitimate and suits the product.
[ ] Landing Page(s). Build the landing page according to your individual needs. You can follow the customer flow on Horizon, which will guide you through the process of setting up the structure based on what you want to test. We recommend staying as close as possible to our templates (focussed on consumer goods or digital products) per default because it is based on our best practices.
[ ] Images for your landing page (and the rights for them). You might want to include appealing images (with the necessary rights) sourced online coupled with mockups of your offering. Popular non copyrighted image sites include pexels.com or unsplash.com. We cannot emphasize enough how important it is that you own the rights to the images you use.
[ ] A Meta/Facebook (Ad-) account. You will need to run an ad campaign via Meta (Facebook & Instagram) in order to acquire traffic and unique visitors to your landing page.
[ ] A Facebook page. You need to create a Facebook page in order to run ad campaigns. It doesn’t need to have content, just a logo/cover photo is enough to make it look “real enough”. Optimally, you name the Ad account (bullet point before) and the Facebook page identical.
[ ] Ad Budget. You should define a lifetime budget for your ad campaign. The amount differs based on your offering and your audience, but as a rule of thumb, calculate with a budget of 500€ to 1.000€ per variant you run (e.g. if you run a price point test with 3 different price points, you should at least calculate 1.500€). This ensures that you reach a significant amount of users and therefore, representative insights.
[ ] Defined Audience. You will have to configure your target audience for your ad campaigns. You should already have an idea of what interests the hypothesis of your audience has and be ready to get more specific when you start to configure the ad campaign in the Horizon Ad Builder. As a rule of thumb, keep the audience you target between 500.000 and 3.000.000 people.
[ ] Optional but recommended: A testing hypothesis. Having a specific testing hypothesis based on what you expect to happen after running the test and what a specific metric means, will help you understand the meaning of the results much better.
